Bible Study on Giving Offering And Tithing Onto God’s Store House according to Genesis 22, Proverbs 3:9, Hebrews 11:6, Luke 6:38, Malachi 6, Matthew 23:23, 2 Corinthians 8:7

Giving is the expression of our love and worship for God. And giving and worship always go hand in hand. You can’t worship without giving, you can give without worship. Worship and giving is not because of our circumstances but because of our relationship with God. So was the unquestionable relationship Abraham had with God as in Genesis: 22. 1. And it came to pass after these things, that God did prove Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham. And he said, Here am I. 2. And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son, whom thou lovest, even Isaac, and get thee into the land of Moriah. And offer him there for a burnt-offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. 3. And Abraham rose early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son. And he clave the wood for the burnt-offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.

Giving your best and your first to God, is an indication of the conditions of our heart towards Him. For God is after our heart and not our money, rarely does a church issues reminder, penalties and constantly chase after it members for tithe and offering. As God does not need our money but we need to give to worship God. As shown in Proverbs: 3. 9. Honor Jehovah with thy substance, And with the first-fruits of all thine increase: 10. So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, And thy vats shall overflow with new wine.

Giving is always an act of faith in God, who is also our creator and provider according to Hebrews: 11. 6. And without faith it is impossible to be well-pleasing [unto him]; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that seek after him. And those who believed in Him shall be rewarded abundantly, and exceedingly to the amount that they have sowed into His kingdom according to Luke: 6. 38. give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall they give into your bosom. For with what measure ye mete it shall be measured to you again. In contrary, people who have little faith in God that He is the provider and that He can multiply many folds what have been sowed, will sow sparingly and keep the wealth for themselves and hoping that it will last long.

There are 2 types of giving according to the Bible I.e. tithe and offering. Tithing is an act of obedience and diligence in handling God’s riches entrusted upon a person. Tithe allows God to take care of His earthly ministries and to create His kingdom of heaven on earth, by virtue of feeding and care for the poor and needy, to heal and nurse the sick and despair and to send evangelist into the missions field. The truth is God does need any man’s money to do any of the above for He is the creator of all things and He owns everything on this earth, your wealth and even you. God is no one’s debtor, He is trustful and graceful to allow His creation to partner with Him on the above ministries.

To rob from God and short change God of His 10% tithe is a serious no no and may bring about curses onto us, our family and our tribes as in Matthew: 23. 23. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye tithe mint and anise and cummin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law, justice, and mercy, and faith: but these ye ought to have done, and not to have left the other undone. And again in Malachi: 3. 8. Will a man rob God? yet ye rob me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9. Ye are cursed with the curse; for ye rob me, even this whole nation. 10. Bring ye the whole tithe into the store-house, that there may be food in my house, and prove me now herewith, saith Jehovah of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough [to receive it]. The God’s store house is the place where we receive God’s food I.e. the Word of God. This is the only place in the Bible where God ask us to test Him on His abundance blessings through an open heaven, that is so over flowing until no store house can contain.

The second type of giving to God is offering, which is the extra portion after fulfilling his/er 10% tithe. It is a hypothesis based on facts that early Christians were already giving and contributing beyond their 10% tithe requirements, hence the new testament talks more about giving offering instead of tithe. The records of early Christians generously giving and offering to God is doted throughout the book of Acts and Corinthians as in 2 Corinthians: 9. 6. But this [I say,] He that soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he that soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7. [Let] each man [do] according as he hath purposed in his heart: not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. When giving it is important to give out a cheerful and peaceful heart, else better not give at that moment. For a grudging giving and giving out of obligation, the giver shall be lowly esteemed by God. Besides, a cheerful has potential to give exceeding his 10% and won’t be calculative with God.

In conclusion, as Christians the main point that we are giving  sacrificially onto the kingdom of God, is simply because we have been abounded by His immense love and grace on top of every other things that we have received, tasted and seen. So that we can be a blessing to others in Christ Jesus says in 2 Corinthians: 8. 7. But as ye abound in everything, [in] faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and [in] all earnestness, and [in] your love to us, [see] that ye abound in this grace also.

Bible Study on If You Believe That All Things Are Possible Through God And Help Our Unbelief according to Isaiah 38, Mark 9:22-27, Isaiah 61:7, Isaiah 43:26, Hebrews 5:7, Matthew 11:12

When we faced with an impossible situation like an incurable sickness or hopeless financial situations, what would you do? As in the case of Hezekiah facing impending death in Isaiah: 38. 1. In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith Jehovah, Set thy house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

Hezekiah turned his faced to the wall and prayed to the Lord for help. Because he did not want to see his ministers’ and medical physician’s face and even prophet Isaiah’s face. He only wants to see the face of God, for he believes that God is the only solution to his sickness no matter what the medical report says; as depicted in Isaiah: 38. 2. Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto Jehovah, Get your eyes out of what people say and fix on God and look to Him for our solutions.

Like in the case of Jesus rebuking a child posssed with mute and deaf spirit, The child was cleansed of the unclean spirit and raised from the dead by Jesus in front of a multitude, when the child’s father pleaded ‘I believe, help me of my unbelief’ as recorded in Mark: 9. 22. And oft-times it hath cast him both into the fire and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do anything, have compassion on us, and help us. 23. And Jesus said unto him, If thou canst! All things are possible to him that believeth. 24. Immediately the father of the child cried out with tears, “I believe. Help my unbelief!” 25. When Jesus saw that a multitude came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and never enter him again!” 26. Having cried out, and convulsed greatly, it came out of him. The boy became like one dead; so much that most of them said, “He is dead.” 27. But Jesus took him by the hand, and raised him up; and he arose.

Even when everything is gone, but if we stay fixed to God. He will bring us through all circumstances for He is the God of breakthrough and our provider. Through Him we shall be victorious and have double portions of joy and blessings. Isaiah: 61. 7. Instead of your shame [ye shall have] double; and instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be unto them.

So how do we stay focused on God in our times of despair? Intense prayer is the key to breakthroughs in reaching God’s promises as Hezekiah cried deeply in his prayer as recorded in Isaiah: 38. 3. and said, Remember now, O Jehovah, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. As intense prayer will reveal our deepest heart’s desires for God’s authority and sovereignity over our lives.

Prayer of faith in God and prayer of remembrance of God, Jehovah Jireh our Abba Father. By His will and timing the promises of God that you seek will be answered as in James: 5. 15. and the prayer of faith shall save him that is sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, it shall be forgiven him. And again in Isaiah: 43. 26. Put me in remembrance; let us plead together: set thou forth [thy cause], that thou mayest be justified. If we ask anything through our prayers, always remember God and remembrances of His promises.

Prayers to God for help, like how Jesus prayed to His Father with strong crying and tears as described in Hebrews: 5. 7. Who in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear,

We need to pray with intense forcefulness and energy, meditate on the scriptures and commited and relentless in attacking our problems from all angles. Matthew: 11. 12. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and men of violence take it by force. The Kingdom of Heaven comes with intense power, it not only have righteous, peace and joy, but also immense power, riches, abundance and joy beyond any imagination.

Hezekiah had a loyal heart to God,  he was fervent in his prayer and his prayer was heard and answered by God as recorded in the below scriptures Isaiah: 38. 5. Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years. For God’s promises remains, He will not let our prayers go in vain,  as long as believe in Him, reach out our hands and touch His miracles, for our God reigns.

Bible Study on Prayer And Bible Reading according to Jeremiah 33:3, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Matthew 7:7, Philippians 4:6, Mark 1:35, Luke 22:39, Mark 7:24, Colossians 4:2, 2 Timothy 3:16, Psalms 119:105

Prayer is the emergency call line to communicate with the Lord God. When we are in relationship with Jesus, we would like to talk from our heart and hear from Him everyday as mentioned in Jeremiah: 33. 3. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and will show thee great things, and difficult, which thou knowest not.

Call onto the Lord as It’s your right as His children and diciples. This life line is available all the time and 24/7 and it is called prayer. 1 Thessalonians: 5. 17. pray without ceasing. Learn to ask from the Lord,  seek first the Lord and pursue the Lord to His gates of Heaven as shown in Matthew: 7. 7. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Dont worry and be happy and bring everything to the Lord, He will work things out for you and let God lead you. Philippians: 4. 6. In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

We need to make time for God, so that we can build relationship with God as described in Mark: 1. 35. And in the morning, a great while before day, he rose up and went out, and departed into a desert place, and there prayed.

We need to have The Place when we pray, so that we it becomes a habit. Make it a routine to go to that quiet place so that we can concentrate on God. Because my relationship with God is special as depicted in Luke: 22. 39. And he came out, and went, as his custom was, unto the mount of Olives; and the disciples also followed him. 40. And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. And also recorded in Mark: 7. 24. And from thence he arose, and went away into the borders of Tyre and Sidon. And he entered into a house, and would have no man know it; and he could not be hid.

4 steps for classic prayer method:
1. Adoration is to worship, praise God.
2. Confess is to ask for forgiveness for any trespasses and cleanse us of our sins. God said you are forgiven and shall sin no more.
3. Thanksgiving is Thanks God for help, bless, loving
4. Supplication as we pray we can bring our needs to the Lord.

Be consistent in your prayer, for Father God will not give you less, only give you the best. Says Colossians: 4. 2. Continue stedfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving; Bring your needs to the Lord and let God answer it bit by bit. Bring all your worries to Him and do not give up easily.

Besides prayer, Jesus commands His diciples to do and engage in the ministry of the Word. As Christ followers we need to mediate on the Word of God and enjoy God’s Word. Mentions Joshua: 1. 8. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate thereon day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. And also in 2 Timothy: 3. 16. Every scripture inspired of God [is] also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness. And again in Psalm: 119. 105. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And light unto my path. For the Bible is the book. of Life. Let’s take hold of God’s Word and it will change you for the better and start living for the God. He wants us to have the best and to pass a His blessings to others.

We have to read the Word of God in order to grow. Attending church celebrations and services alone will not grow your faith. We have to read the Word of God in order to grow our inner spirit. Let’s celebrate God’s Word by reading and mediate on the Word.

Bible Study on The Invincible Love Of God For His Children Through Earthly Fathers And Mothers in conjunction with Parents’ Day according to 1 John 4:16, 1 Corinthians 13, Genesis 3:20, Genesis 17:16, Jeremiah 1:5, Ezekiel 19:2

All natural parents would want their offsprings to do well in life. More so all natural grannies and great grand parents would like to see that their children’s generations and children’s children’s generation are doing even better.

The heart is the core of our life, This is the seat of our values and character. There is no right way or ideal or perfect way in life or in evaluating moral values. But shaping a good and Godly person for Christ requires not only educating the mind and ignores the heart. The heart stores and holds love, compassion, grace, values, manners, worship, live plans, rhythm of life, dreams, hopes, dreams and aspirations.
Educating the mind but not the heart only creates a greater menace to society

Fathers do not just love their children once in a while. It is endless love because the love of God for His creations comes through every father. The natural urge to have His own children, to care for them and love them within His lifetime is God like as shown in 1 John: 4. 16. And we know and have believed the love which God hath in us. God is love; and he that abideth in love abideth in God, and God abideth in him.

According to the Word of God, a father’s love is endless and kind from His heart. The purest love is silent and does not grows envy of others or brags of His love, He does His love with actions instead of words. The true love is always decent and behave respectfully of his children. The love of Jesus in every father is always truthful and righteous and he acts as the role model to his children and family and is beautifully depicted in 1 Corinthians: 13. 4. Love suffereth long, [and] is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5. doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not provoked, taketh not account of evil; 6. rejoiceth not in unrighteousness, but rejoiceth with the truth; 7. beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Fathers traditionally have a special position in the family because the are  financial providers and bread winners, whom brings home bread, buns, cakes, pasta, potatoes, rice, noodles, udon, roti praata, etc. Besides, being a son he takes care of his parents and in laws, being a husband he loves and provides for his wife and being a father he cares, guides, molds and plays with his children and disciplines and is stern with his children when they are wrong or disrespectful.

According to the Bible a child without a father is liked an orphan, because with a father, the child will be emotionally loved and supported into adulthood to become able young men and women of God. Of course there are exceptional cases where a single mother is able to play the role of a father and mother well. In most cases, a mother would not want to take up the role of a father because it is hard and painful lifelong job and a heavy burden on top of being a mother.

Fathers have the calling of God to be the head of the family and his tribe. The role of a father bestowed by God cannot be easily replaced by others. Although the yoke that he carries is heavy, but fathers take heart that God’s burden is light. As fathers are the anchor of his family and a Godly father has great influence over his child’s  development and in molding a Godly character and warriors for Christ Jesus. In contrary an ungodly father might not encourage or discourage their children from participating in church service and activities.

On the other side, sons looks to their father as role model on how to be a man. When small they observe their dad does things and picks up his habits, values and attitudes and they learn how to love, care, protect, respectful, responsible. Thus the saying like father, like son, if the son grows up with his dad and is close to him. Apart from mother-daughter bond,  nowadays, there is a saying like father like daughter, especially she is a daddy’s girl. Because daughters not only look to their dads for love, respect and mind treatment from a man. Moreover, she will soak up his attitude, perceptions, behavior and beliefs and a daughter will also like to role model after a successful dad in today’s business world. More so a father’s ever lasting love from young helps to establish and affirms her identity as a beloved. A father’s love is a reflection of God’s love for us. And fathers also show his children the way at home like God has shown us the way in our lives.

What does the Bible say about mothers. A lady carries the biblical title of mother after she is married and bears a child. Then she gains different level of authority in her family, society and her relationship with God and is record in the beginning of mankind in Genesis: 3. 20. The man called his wife Eve, because she was the mother of all living.

Genesis: 17. 16. I will bless her, and moreover I will give you a son by her. Yes, I will bless her, and she will be a mother of nations. Kings of peoples will come from her.”

A woman changes to a mother after she bears a child and giving birth, which is a Godly process. A mother is a transformed being not just physically, but she develops the instinct to love, care, protect and provide for her child according to Ezekiel: 19. 2. and say, What was your mother? A lioness: she couched among lions, in the midst of the young lions she nourished her cubs. A woman is generally less generous than man in matters such finance, sharing and communal relationships. But a mother becomes a new selfless being for her family and child and she continue to churns out love for them throughout her lifetime, virtually a love factory.

A mother’s greatest strength is her endless love and pain and hardship endurance. Many man would have fainted out during the labor process of many hours of extreme pain, stress and exhaustion. Is like being shot in the pelvic and forced to crawl for hours. Simply it’s a mom’s mental preparation and unresolved determination to wanting to give birth to her own child that makes her not throw in the towel easily.

Children love and cherish your mother, for she is not heavy with burden but packed with love. A mother can carry more burden than what we imagine. She carries all the burden of her family in her body, heart and mind, never complains and continues to push on. Edwin Hubble Chapin once said ‘no language can express the power, and beauty, and heroism of a mother’s love. It shrinks not where man cowers, and grows stronger where man faints, and over waste of wordly fortunes sends the radiance of its quenchless fidelity like a star’.

Below are some essential parenting tips for fathers and mothers. Learn to feed your kid with healthy food and not with junk food or instant food just for the sake of convenience and time. Ensure that your child have moderation in their diet and avoid gimmicks and over selling products that promises increased intelligence and brain development and fast body growth of your child.

Parenting is always built on the foundation of consistency and repetition, because your child will appreciate your presence and accompaniment over long periods of time rather than intermittent visit. They will feel empty and lonely when you are not around. On the other hand, intermittent visits at the wrong time might spark embarrassment and resentment of your child. Take your kids out and play with them, and spent time and built bonds with them. Perhaps even involving your kids and teenagers to do house course together and fixing broken household stuff together and crubbing your cars together. This create a sense of worthiness and contribution to the family, when they board your squeaky clean car or play around in their tidy and comfortable home.

As parents you need to train your child with sharp minds using sharp minds development techniques I.e. keen and detail observation, problem analysis and solving, creative ideation, etc. A simple way is to speak to your baby with human language from start i.e. by teaching to say I love papa, mama, God. Train Your Kids to be a contributor to the society instead of a consumer of other people’s products and inventions, for the progress of human civilization is based on inventions and scientific discoveries of God’s wonders. Being able to add value to society will in future enable your children to stand on their own feet independently and earn themselves a living, when parents are no longer around to support them.

When they are at the age of understanding and forming self image, as parents help them discover who they are in Christ, for God is the ultimate creator of your children and He has made plans for them when they are being conceived. As depicted in Jeremiah 1. 5. Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee; I have appointed thee a prophet unto the nations.

Bible Study on The Ministry Of God Entrusted Upon Us according to 2 Corinthians 5:18, Acts 6:4, Romans 12:7, Colossians 4:17, 2 Timothy 4:5, Acts 20:24

The Word Ministry has its origins from the old Bible. Ministry represents a body of ministers ordained under the sacrament of the Holy Order to do God’s work. The earliest Church of Christ and ministries of the 1st and 2nd century Anno Domino (AD) is described in the Books of Acts. The early Church ministries comprises of bishops, presbyters
or nowadays elders and deacons or servants.

God through Jesus gave us many ministries but the 2 major ministries which is the Ministry of Reconciliation. This main ministry is all about God Himself, which involves praise and worshiping Him and doing God’s work and evangelism for the furtherance of His kingdom on earth. The outcome of this ministry is to reconcile the sinful humans back to the righteous God as mentioned in 2 Corinthians: 5. 18. But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave unto us the ministry of reconciliation. The reason why God made this ministry a priority, because we humans are His creation and as children we belong to God. Since the fall of Eden, God did not wipe us out with His fury, instead he only exile Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden for their obedience to their Father. With all good intentions, God has used many means and solutions to reconcile humans back to the original righteousness of God.

Another major calling of God through His son Jesus is the study, inspection, analysis and application of the Word of God. The Word of God is very vast in scope and deep in meaning, as its words and scriptures are beautiful and perfect and it takes alot of time of apprehension, reflection and prayer. God gave us the ability of prayer, so that as His children we are able to connect with our Father and get a glimpse of His vast knowledge. Unseezing prayer at any time of the day and during our daily routine, allow Christ followers to stay focused on God and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us, help us and protect us. All the above is laid out in Acts: 6. 4. But we will continue stedfastly in prayer, and in the ministry of the word.

The significant of service to the Lord as described in Romans: 12. 7. or ministry, [let us give ourselves] to our ministry; or he that teacheth, to his teaching; is to devote your life as a servant of Christ Jesus and serving fervently in His ministries that He has entrusted you with and serving in the Ministry of the Word of God in accordance to the teaching of Jesus Christ.

In doing God’s Minustry it is not measured by how successful or how big your ministry is. The essence is to pay attention to the ministry of God that He has entrusted you with and in the end to accomplish the mission and objectives that was envisioned to you as mentioned in Colossians: 4. 17. And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.

Seeing the purpose of your life as Christ follower is to do right, just and truthful in all things as written in 2 Timothy: 4. 5. But be thou sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil thy ministry. The path taken to being a servant of God will be dotted with hardship, suffering and attacks from God’s enemy. This will be the test of your faith and belief, so as long as we do not buckle to the enemy’s deception and lies, with God’s timing and will He will make you stronger and victorious over the enemies.

The ultimate purpose of our lives as a servant of God is to put our own selves last and put God first in everything we do. We should do all just, truthful and honorable things in life that might cause the devil to do harm to our status, reputation, wealth, livelihood and home or even endanger our life and those dearest to you as commanded by Apostle in Acts: 20. 24. But I hold not my life of any account as dear unto myself, so that I may accomplish my course, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. The reason why we partner God and work with God is to glorify His name in heaven and to establish the kingdom of heaven on earth so that all nations may testify onto His endless love and grace.
