In conjunction with this year’s Good Friday to commemorate the 3rd day our Lord Christ Jesus was crucified on Calvary and on the 5th day He ascended from the Temple Mount, Jerusalem to be with Father God after leaving instructions with His diciples. Although we never personally met our Lord, but His abundance of love, grace and teaching is brought us through this far despite going through many long years of trials, testing, turbulence, persecution and all forms of attacks. We soul out believed and trust through consecration in Your mighty shield,Your tower refuge, Your help and guidance; has brought us this far in life and with the peace of mind and eager anticipation for a blessed hope of a brighter future and the assurance of eternity with our Lord God. Though we constantly struggle with the business of life and corrupted by the noises of the market place and the world, we thank You and praise You for our blessed hope and that You are always behind our minds and be first in our¬†priorities.

This is the story about a simple, kind and loving man who shocked the whole western and middle east civilizations and it reached as far as the eastern empires around 1500 years later during China’s Ming dynasty, Japan and Korea during the Jesuit¬†missionary era. Not forgetting that Christianity spread into the Americas during the age of sails and conquistadores. However, He wasn’t the mighty conqueror and political leader like Alexander the Great or Julius Gaius Caesar.

Yet His coming after them as an loving and meek man divided the calendar into the ancient classical era and the common era. And His teachings and wonders are still remembered and practiced by millions upto this day. The coming of the Messiah has been foretold by prophet Isaiah (who lived around 750 years before Christ Jesus) in Isaiah: 7. 14. Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. 15. Butter and honey shall he eat, when he knoweth to refuse the evil, and choose the good. 16. For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land whose two kings thou abhorrest shall be forsaken. Similarly the coming of the Son of man was retold by apostle Mark: 1. 2. Even as it is written in Isaiah the prophet, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, Who shall prepare thy way. 3. The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make ye ready the way of the Lord, Make his paths straight.

The below historical recollection of child Jesus when He was only few months old by Apostle Luke. Besides, John the Baptist who openly proclaim the coming of the a Messiah to save His people from oppression and sinning against God. There were also 2 other religious prophet and prophetess named Simeon and Anna, whom received the revelation of God’s glorious restoration for the Israelites and redemption for all humanity during the classical age and they both knew and were convicted to thank God upon seeing Him in the temple of Jerusalem, even Jesus was only a baby.¬† Luke: 2. 21. And when eight days were fulfilled for circumcising him, his name was called JESUS, which was so called by the angel before he was conceived in the womb. 22. And when the days of their purification according to the law of Moses were fulfilled, they brought him up to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord 23. (as it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord), 24. and to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons. 25. And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon; and this man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26. And it had been revealed unto him by the Holy Spirit, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. 27. And he came in the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, that they might do concerning him after the custom of the law, 28. then he received him into his arms, and blessed God, and said, 29. Now lettest thou thy servant depart, Lord, According to thy word, in peace; 30. For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, 31. Which thou hast prepared before the face of all peoples; 32. A light for revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of thy people Israel. 33. And his father and his mother were marvelling at the things which were spoken concerning him; 34. and Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this [child] is set for the falling and the rising of many in Israel; and for a sign which is spoken against; 35. yea and a sword shall pierce through thine own soul; that thoughts out of many hearts may be revealed. 36. And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher (she was of a great age, having lived with a husband seven years from her virginity, 37. and she had been a widow even unto fourscore and four years), who departed not from the temple, worshipping with fastings and supplications night and day. 38. And coming up at that very hour she gave thanks unto God, and spake of him to all them that were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem.

Something happened during the reign of Roman Emperor Augustus also known as Octavia Caesar (around 31BC – 14AD) in the land of Bethlehem, Judaea (in modern day Israel) and somebody came 2000 years ago that change the course of history and split the Gregorian calendar into BC and AD and many testaments and glorification were to follow for ages. Then why Jesus were sent by God as flesh and blood of man? As vividly retold by Apostle Luke: 1. 30. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God. 31. And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33. and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. 34. And Mary said unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35. And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Spirit shall come upon thee, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow thee: wherefore also the holy thing which is begotten shall be called the Son of God. 36. And behold, Elisabeth thy kinswoman, she also hath conceived a son in her old age; and this is the sixth month with her that was called barren. 37. For no word from God shall be void of power. 38. And Mary said, Behold, the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

Christ Jesus came to offer us salvation as free package. Salvation in greek is Sozo which means keeping safe and sound and to rescue from sins and destruction. And He gave us holistic and comprehensive healing physically, spiritually and mentally and we will enjoy holistic health as well as mental and spiritual peace. And even our body might fade due to appointment with imminent death, but our spirit lives on in heaven with God and His Son. Christ Jesus is our God who saves, thus His name is derived, which is a rare make of the Hebrew name Joshua meaning God with us. On the other hand, Jesus in ancient Greek carriers the meaning of the Chosen One.

Similarly, the yearly commemoration and celebration of the birth of Christ Jesus as in Christmas today is more than just Christmas tree, shopping, celebrations, partying, drinking, tourism events and Santa Claus with Rudolph the reindeer; although Christmas is made circular by many nations so that the whole world may rejoice in the coming of our Savior in their own unique ways and local customs. Ultimately with the hope in all the thoughts of many who have risen or fallen, that may be revealed the signs of God’s redemptive purposes in their hearts. Because the love of God is all about hope, salvation and redemption through the holy blood of Christ Jesus.

God has sent Jesus to give us redemption from sins. Because through Christ Jesus, God will give us back the years that locusts and rodents have devoured.Redemption means to buy back, restore and redeem back what we have lost. Pride and fear is the root of all our sins and sometimes fear of our wordly things can be gripping and paralyzing. As Christians we do not need to be fearful because God has promised us peace by anchoring our faith and full trust in Christ Jesus. And the peace of God will come down to us in Christ Jesus and we will be witnesses that our lives have totally changed. Because Christ redemption package comprises of peace, love and joy, will you accept it and strength out. Because when love come down fears go. Because the poured down love and joy will completely transformed the trajectory of our lives and our destiny of God. And we shall dwell in the temple of love, joy and peace of God

Similarly, as followers of Christ we too inherit the anointing of the Most High. Luke: 4. 18. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor: He hath sent me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised, 19. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

All in all we conclude that God sent Christ Jesus to be His messenger to give hope and deliver from sins. Before ascending upto heavens, Jesus gave instructions to His diciples to preach and serve the Word Of God to the Gentiles and to all nations in the world Mark: 13. 10. And the gospel must first be preached unto all the nations. 11. And when they lead you [to judgment], and deliver you up, be not anxious beforehand what ye shall speak: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye; for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit. In the end of it all, it is by the Word of God only that all humanity can be saved, because we are unable to save ourselves let alone saving others, but God can.
