The Bible mentions of perfecting of the saints? Have you heard of beautification of the saints? What does these mean to us as ordinary Christians? In achieving the perfect man in Christ is not about the personal journey of people in this world; but of the Church of Christ and all its members in unison around the world as far as the rising and seeing sun; inspite of differences in nationality, race, crete, ethnic, tribe, status, demographics, culture, tradition, aspiration, belief system, politics, achievements, wealth etc, together reaching spiritual maturity in the Word of God, for we are children of God according to Ephesians: 4. 11. And he gave some [to be] apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12. for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ: 13. till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a fullgrown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.
Being in the Kingdom of God, we need to adhere to certain standards like dealing with others with love. For the equiping of the saints and train us until reaching the level of knowledge and holiness of the prefect Christ, Christ Jesus has given us 5 ministerial positions I.e. Jesus’s apostles, prophets of the past, evangelists of the past and present, teachers and mentors, church pastors and healing ministries. We cannot reach the maturity of God without the teaching of God. Ultimately is for the edification of the Word of God and to the propagation of God’s salvation and redemption.
The things that are seen is framed by things that are invisible or spiritual. Similarly by faith in God and the knowledge in the Bible, we too understand that the world is framed by the Word of God and all things seen and unseen are moulded by the hands of God as prescribed in Hebrews: 11. 1. Now faith is assurance of [things] hoped for, a conviction of things not seen. 2. For therein the elders had witness borne to them. 3. By faith we understand that the worlds have been framed by the word of God, so that what is seen hath not been made out of things which appear. And God has provided many things for us in order to perfect us in His image. But none of the worldly material things are in any way durable, lasting, genuine, worthy, safe, edifying, nutritive, well made, meticulously crafted compared to the Word of God. For the Word of God is made for God’s children to purposefully make us perfect to become saints and is described in Hebrews: 11. 40. God having provided some better thing concerning us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect.
The second edge of the sword of faith is to make us perfect in the image of God. All the saints of the past and in our present lives too were imperfect, but made perfect by faith through their acts of God’s miracles and wonders; moreover the Bible recorded their best and ignored their weakness as seen in all the saints in the Holy Bible I.e. Egypt Prime Minister Joseph, whom believed that one day that the children of Israel would leave Egypt. Prince of Egypt Moses who followed God. A harlot and prostitute named Rahab, who help the 2 Israel spies sent by Joshua and aiding the conquest of the promised land. David the greatest king of Israel and the anointed king of God, whom was greatly favored by God despite of his many weaknesses.Samuel a judge of Israel, whom appointed 2 kings. Others prophets and saints include Samson, Sarah, Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Gideon, Barack, etc. All the wonders and miracles that all the saints performed as well as the curses and suffering received in contrary by those who went against God were listed down in Hebrews: 11. 33. who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34. quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, waxed mighty in war, turned to flight armies of aliens. 35. Women received their dead by a resurrection: and others were tortured, not accepting their deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: 36. and others had trial of mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: 37. they were stoned, they were sawn asunder, they were tempted, they were slain with the sword: they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, ill-treated 38. (of whom the world was not worthy), wandering in deserts and mountains and caves, and the holes of the earth. 39. And these all, having had witness borne to them through their faith, received not the promise,
There are 2 pieces of the puzzle of the destiny of our lives I.e. God and all the saints. Without God and all the saints that have gone before us and come after us in the future will make us perfect. We need all the saint of God to help us complete our big picture. We pray that we too can become a saints in the Kingdom of God with a future, despite we are a sinner by nature.
