Bible Study On Importance Of Faith And Patience And Wisdom By The Word Of God According To Hebrews 11:1, Matthew 14:31, Mark 5:36, James 1:4

We are asked to walk by faith and not by sight and we can not do it without faith as faith is assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

God want us to finish strong, as there is destiny and purpose in our life.  When Peter step out of the boat his destination was Jesus.  When Jesus called come,  Peter went towards his destination.  Matthew: 14. 28. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto the upon the waters. 29. And he said, Come. And Peter went down from the boat, and walked upon the waters to come to Jesus. 30. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, Lord, save me. 31. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and took hold of him, and saith unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

We will face with many challenges and set backs in our lives. As Peter was not only stuck and was sinking when faced with the storm and hauling wind.

When Jesus reached out immediately to pick up Peter without hesitant, when he called out to Jesus. In Jesus armd, Jesus told Peter 2 things:
1. O thou of little faith. We need to have faith to cross over the finishing line and breakthrough in life. Fortunately, it’s ok to start with little faith, as small as mustard seed, as it can grow into a big tree. And Faith can grow with the hearing of God’s Word.

2. Wherefore didst thou doubt? If we are on the path of doubt, we have to recognize. It’s a circumstance I.e. We heard or saw something or problems of life and suddenly it can derail us from the path of faith.

Doubt is a condition of the heart and the ability to control your faith is paramount. We all have choices in life and having the ability to make own choices is a very powerful. And the greatest gift of God is the ability for us to make choices in spite of our circumstances. It all starts with a circumstance and condition that can pushes us into a path of doubt. But with God’s Word it will guide us in making the right choices in life.

Mark: 5. 35. While he yet spake, they come from the ruler of the synagogue’s [house] saying, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Teacher any further? 36. But Jesus, not heeding the word spoken, saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Fear not, only believe. 37. And he suffered no man to follow with him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.

From the above, we notice that not only we have to start strong but have to finish strong. As Jesus is the author and the finisher of our faith. Jesus already has plans for all of us and He can see through the temporary troubled moments that we can’t see our imagine.

Life is full of starts and stops of our faith and it is a journey. We can change from belief to doubtful and vice versa. If we go deeper into doubt, the more we get deviated from the path of God. But all good or bad things have to come to an end. This doubt to failure is depicted in Galatians: 3. 1. O foolish Galatians, who did bewitch you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly set forth crucified? 2. This only would I learn from you. Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3. Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now perfected in the flesh?

When our good comes to an end,  God will change the definition of good for us and He will give us patience and wisdom to seek a better good.  As God is good all the time. Remember,  when the camera or curtains comes down, the commitment starts! We can witness this in James: 1. 1. James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are of the Dispersion, greeting. 2. Count it all joy, my brethren, when ye fall into manifold temptations; 3. Knowing that the proving of your faith worketh patience. 4. And let patience have [its] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, lacking in nothing. 5. But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

In the end with God all things is possible, we might lose for a little while, but Jesus has won it all for us, no matter how difficult the circumstances. We will win and soar with eagle’s wings as God will never fail us. Amen and God bless.
