The below testimony of the life and discipleship of Apostle John to witness the light of creation and to testifies that Jesus is eternally Godly, because He was with God in the beginning at the time of God’s creation. The grace of God was given to us in Christ Jesus even before time began. John: 1. 1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2. The same was in the beginning with God. 3. All things were made through him; and without him was not anything made that hath been made. 4. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5. And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness apprehended it not. 6. There came a man, sent from God, whose name was John. 7. The same came for witness, that he might bear witness of the light, that all might believe through him. 8. He was not the light, but [came] that he might bear witness of the light. 9. There was the true light, [even the light] which lighteth every man, coming into the world.
Logos means the reason Why? according to Heraclitus. Bios means life in Greek. Jesus must be the reason to live, as Jesus is the truth and grace, which gives life to the world. According to John 1:10. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world knew him not. 11. He came unto his own, and they that were his own received him not. 12. But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: 13. who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14. And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.
Jesus is also essentially God. This forms the doctrine of the Holy Trinity I.e. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, where they are separate entitles at different dimensions and time and yet they are of God. Mind boggling isn’t it! Because we are the creations of God, thus we cannot explain God and the His manifestations and we can only accept what God is by faith.
Jesus is equally God because Thomas said my Lord and my God as witness in John: 20. 28. Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. 29. Jesus saith unto him, Because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed [are] they that have not seen, and [yet] have believed.
John: 20. 30. Many other signs therefore did Jesus in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book: 31. but these are written, that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye may have life in his name. Again the testimony of John that Jesus is the son of God and is Christ or Messiah to annoint us. Because John has seen his miracles, heard of his Words and touched Jesus personally.
Isaiah: 53. 2. For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3. He was despised, and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and as one from whom men hide their face he was despised; and we esteemed him not.
Jesus does not promise a problem free and easy life, but He will ensure that we will live above the storm. Matthew: 16. 24. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 25. For whosoever would save his life shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake shall find it.
Nonetheless, God asked us to submit our lives to Him and lift our chins up, because God is a God of joy and is confirmed in the following scriptures below. Romans: 5. 3. And not only so, but we also rejoice in our tribulations: knowing that tribulation worketh stedfastness; 4. and stedfastness, approvedness; and approvedness, hope: 5. and hope putteth not to shame; because the love of God hath been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Spirit which was given unto us.
Jesus is the light of the world according to 1 John: 1. 1. That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we beheld, and our hands handled, concerning the Word of life 2. (and the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare unto you the life, the eternal [life], which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us); 3. that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you also, that ye also may have fellowship with us: yea, and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ: 4. and these things we write, that our joy may be made full. 5. And this is the message which we have heard from him and announce unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6. If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7. but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Jesus is Christ the Messiah for all mankind according to 2 Timothy: 1. 9. who saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before times eternal, 10. but hath now been manifested by the appearing of our Saviour Christ Jesus, who abolished death, and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,
Jesus is the Word of God that brings life and immortality according to Revelation: 19. 13. And he [is] arrayed in a garment sprinkled with blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14. And the armies which are in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white [and] pure. 15. And out of his mouth proceedeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty.
Nowadays, many Christians have a feel good perspective about Church and Christianity. Where things are not right, the thought of jump ship emerges. Because many might feel that this is not what we bargain for when accepting Christ. And many at times of sorrow or happiness, we easily forget who Jesus is and why He came for. Let us not by the temptations and evils of the world be colluded and forget that Jesus is Lord of our lives, Jesus is the Word of God, Jesus is Christ the redeemer and restorer of the world.
As it is written in the Bible, the scripture passages herein is as it is written by God. What is God’s issues remains in His authority and not ours and is beyond us.
