Bible Study on Falling In Love And Building Intimate Relationship With God according to Exodus 33:11, Exodus 20:18-21, Psalm 42:1-2, John 5:19,30, Matthew 14:13, Mark 6:30-31, Psalm 119:15, Psalm 145:5, Philippians 4:8, John 10:4,27, Psalm 23:32

God wants to speak to us like a friend with intimacy and face to face relationship and walk closely with God as it was in Exodus: 33:11 And Jehovah spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his minister Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the Tent. Would you come and draw near to God with honor and love? Or walk away from Him instead?

The children of Israel were at Mount Sinai where they saw the presence of God with awe and fear as seen in Exodus: 20. 18. And all the people perceived the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the voice of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they trembled, and stood afar off. The word fear as seen below is not fear a  psychological status but actually to honor God your creator as explained by Moses in Exodus: 20. 19. And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die. 20. And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before you, that ye sin not. Sometimes people are fearful of God and pull away. Whereas Moses drew near to God as in Exodus: 20. 21. And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.

How deep is your relationship with God? Do you pant for the relationship with God like the desire as husband and wife relationship. We need to develop an intimate relationship with God, look to the Lord and reserve some of limited time for God. It is the only way to have a deeper and closer relationship with God as seen in Psalm: 42. 1. For the Chief Musician. Maschil of the sons of Korah. As the hart panteth after the water brooks, So panteth my soul after thee, O God. 2. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: When shall I come and appear before God? Because when we are in challenging and troubled times, it is the depth and intimacy with God that will bring you through and make us victorious in the end.

Jesus has already showed us the way to have a intimate relationship with God.
John: 5. 19. Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing: for what things soever he doeth, these the Son also doeth in like manner. And it is through Christ Jesus that we can have relationship with God because it is God’s will that Christ Jesus is our saviour and messiah as mentioned by his apostle in John: 5. 30. I can of myself do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is righteous; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

How to develop a deeper relationship with God? Why not do what Jesus did to communicate with Father God. Because the usual daily environment we are in is polluted with noise and distraction, we need to go outside away from the noise and distraction and to a quieter and tranquil place, so that we can hear and speak to God as witnessed by his apostle in Matthew: 14. 13. Now when Jesus heard [it], he withdrew from thence in a boat, to a desert place apart: and when the multitudes heard [thereof,] they followed him on foot from the cities. Because during that time His relative and cousin John the Baptist was beheaded by King Herod.

Jesus also asked his diciples to come aside to a deserted place to rest for a while as witnessed by his apostle in Mark: 6. 30. And the apostles gather themselves together unto Jesus; and they told him all things, whatsoever they had done, and whatsoever they had taught. 31. And he saith unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while. For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. Jesus also had quite time to pray and draw strength from God as testament by his apostle in Mark: 1. 35. And in the morning, a great while before day, he rose up and went out, and departed into a desert place, and there prayed.

In life it takes time for all things to grow, mature and refresh, will you give God your time? we need to have some time alone to reflect and meditate upon the Lord, read the Word of God and marvel upon His great works and the goodness He has done for you as read in Psalm: 119. 15. I will meditate on thy precepts, And have respect unto thy ways. And in Psalm: 145. 5. Of the glorious majesty of thine honor, And of thy wondrous works, will I meditate. Also in Philippians: 4. 8. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

We need to develop the ability to hear and recognize God’s small still voice that can be easily mistaken for other things. It is like the sheep recognizing and following its master’s voice in the vivid example by Jesus apostle in John: 10. 4. When he hath put forth all his own, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And in John: 10. 27. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: Also in Psalm: 23. 2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside still waters.

In the end it’s all about listening and hearing from God, draw near to God and develop a relationship with God and following and obeying His voice, for He desires and call for His creations and enjoy Him. Draw near to God and falling in love with Jesus for his love for us is red hot and eternal God is good, He wants us to have all the best things He has to give, I.e. eternal life, sins salvation and death resurrection.

Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honourable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8
